HONOLULU — Honolulu authorities say a 21-year-old man has died after falling about 50 feet during a hike on an Oahu trail.
HONOLULU — Honolulu authorities say a 21-year-old man has died after falling about 50 feet during a hike on an Oahu trail.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser newspaper reports the hiker was with a group when he fell shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday on the Pali Notches trail in Nuuanu.
Authorities say Honolulu firefighters airlifted the man at about 5:30 p.m., taking him to a secured landing spot.
Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Kendall Ching says the hiker was pronounced dead at the scene.
